Riqipedia started as a Bengali-language knowledge base because the world's largest reference works still under-serve the languages most of the world speaks at home. We combine open contribution with a paid editorial layer — every article is fact-checked, sourced, and reviewed before publication, and stays open for correction after.

Our goal isn't to be the biggest encyclopedia. It's to be the one you trust enough to cite, in your own language, without a login wall in the way.

Editorial standards

Riqipedia is not an unmoderated wiki. Every article passes through a defined editorial process before publication, and stays subject to correction after. Here's exactly how that works.

Sourcing requirements

Every claim must trace to a published, checkable source — academic work, established news reporting, primary documents, or government/institutional records. Unsourced claims are removed, not flagged.

Fact-checking pipeline

Draft → source verification → editorial review → publish. A second editor independently checks statistics, dates, and quotations before anything goes live.

Community contributions

Anyone can propose edits. Changes to live articles queue for review by a category editor before merging — nothing publishes unreviewed.

Ongoing verification

Published articles are re-reviewed on a rolling schedule and flagged for update when sources are contradicted or superseded.
